Rainfall likely to decrease, temperatures to rise in April

Throughout March, parts of the country experienced light to heavy rainfall. The Meteorological Department has indicated that, starting this week, rainfall is likely to decrease, while temperatures may rise.

In its regular forecast on Sunday (March 29), the Meteorological Department said that both daytime and nighttime temperatures may slightly increase across the country today. Isolated areas in the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions may also experience temporary gusty winds and rain or thunderstorms accompanied by lightning.

Meteorologist Md Shahinul Islam stated that from the beginning of next month, April, rainfall and thunderstorms are expected to decrease further, with temperatures likely to rise.

On Sunday, the lowest temperature recorded in the country was 16.5°C in Sylhet, while Dhaka recorded a minimum temperature of 22.2°C.
