A housewife has reportedly committed suicide after allegedly killing her five-year-old son in Dhaka's Khilgaon.
The deceased were identified as Nargis Aktar, 35, and her son, Mahim.
Khilgaon police station's sub-inspector Rafiqul Islam said they, being informed, recovered the bodies from a house in Tilpapara area on Friday afternoon and sent the bodies to the hospital morgue.
It is initially learned that the woman first slaughtered her minor son and then committed suicide over a dispute with her husband, a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver by profession, the SI said, adding that police are looking into the matter.
