4 more children die with measles symptoms in Rajshahi

Four children have died showing symptoms of measles, while 27 new patients were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital in the past 24 hours. So far, a total of 50 children have died with measles-like symptoms.

Dr Shankar K Biswas, the hospital spokesperson, confirmed these figures, adding that doctors and health workers are working tirelessly to manage the situation.

According to hospital sources, 132 suspected measles patients are currently admitted, and a total of 479 children have been hospitalized with measles-like symptoms so far. In the last 24 hours, 24 patients were discharged.

Doctors warn that without timely vaccination and increased awareness, the situation could worsen. Parents have been urged to ensure their children are vaccinated and to strictly follow health guidelines.
