Veteran actor, filmmaker and producer Masud Parvez, best known by his stage name Sohel Rana, has returned home after treatment in Singapore.
He, who travelled to Singapore on April 5, came back on Tuesday Night, April 14, the actor himself said in a social media post.
"By grace of Allah, I returned from Singapore around 11:00 pm yesterday (Tuesday), and now I am well. I extend my gratitude to those who prayed for me," he wrote.
Debuting as a producer in 1972 with the film ‘Ora Egaro Jon’ by Chashi Nazrul Islam, Rana’s acting career started with his 1974 spy-thriller film ‘Masud Rana,’ based on the popular series by Qazi Anwar Hossain.
For his contributions as an actor, Sohel Rana achieved the National Film Award three times, including the Lifetime Achievement Award.
