This time Uber launches in Sylhet
Uber, the world’s largest on-demand ridesharing company, on Monday started its operation in Sylhet, the third city in Bangladesh, which is followed by Dhaka in 2016 and Chattogram in 2018.
Uber South Asia Head of Cities Prabhjeet Singh, said: “We are regularly inspired by the cooperation of Bangladeshis, who are engaging with our services. Uber makes sure safe transportation with the help of modern world-class technology.”
He also said that Uber unveiled its journey in Sylhet as the third city in Bangladesh. We are thrilled that the service creates employment and make the dwellers’ transportation easier.
“UberMOTO has proven to be the most efficient way to get around with an average speed of 16 - 17 km/h vs 11-12 km/h on cars,” Singh said.
