Key suspect of leather syndicate ruling party leader : Rizvi
The people of the country celebrated their holy Eid-ul-Azha with inadequate pleasure because of the government’s irresponsibility to their duties, Senior Joint Secretary General of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said on Tuesday.
He said, government has been failed to reduce people’s woes and sufferings in the highways before the holy Eid as well as the Dengue outbreak across the country. People of the northern part of the country are suffering much as floods battered them who are trying hard to overcome the situation but the village people are facing oppression, cheating and consternation from “cadres” by the ruling party.
In the press conference held at central office of the party in Nayapaltan, Rizvi said, the money comes from leather sale is a right of poor, orphan, needy and helpless people. It’s a custom to distribute the money to the miserable people. This money relieves their grieves and helps to add a little bit pleasure to the holy Eid-ul-Azha celebration but it’s now being snatched by a possible syndicate led by ruling party leaders.
Once a single leather was sold at thousands money when the BNP led government ruled the country but it’s being sold at only Tk 200-300 now. The price of leather has been fallen at 10 percent least but government hiking another prices instead, added the leader.
