Govt nods recruiting 41,627 teachers at NTRC recommendation
Through the sixth public notice, the government has approved the appointment of 41,627 teachers in the country’s private educational institutions.
The Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) shared this information in a press release on Tuesday afternoon, August 19.
According to the release, there were a total of 1,00,822 vacant posts in the sixth public notice and of these, the demand of 780 posts was, later, cancelled and as a result, the number stood at 1,00,042.
Some 57,840 candidates applied for the 1,00,042 posts and of them, 41,627 were recommended for appointment based on merit, said the press release.
Now 58,415 posts remain vacant as eligible candidates were not found, as per the release.
Earlier on Monday, August 18, two NTRCA officials told Jago News that it had completed the preparation of recommendations for the recruitment of more than 41,000 entry-level teachers in non-government MPO-registered educational institutions and was awaiting education adviser’s approval.
