Couple's throat-slit bodies found in Cox's Bazar

Throat-slit bodies of a couple have been recovered in Ramu upazila of Cox's Bazar.

The deceased were identified as Rubi Akter, daughter of Kamal Hossain, a resident of Uporer Khil area of ward no. 6 under Eidghar union in the upazila, and her husband Nur Mohammad, 28, from Raozan upazila of Chattogram.

Eidghar UP chairman Firoz Ahmed Bhutto said he heard a couple was killed in Uporer Khil area of ward no. 6 under the union but could not provide details.

However, he said he knew that the family of the woman murdered had a conflict with some people from another ward.

Ramu Police Station officer in-charge Abu Taher Dewan said they assume the murder happened around 2-3 am and police are trying to find out the motive of the incident.
