Chaldal salary dispute resolved, workers return to duty in Jashore
The salary dispute at Chaldal, the e-commerce firm in Jashore IT Park, has been resolved, and employees have returned to work.
The company officials announced it at a press conference held at the Jashore Press Club on Thursday, March 5.
In a written statement, CEO Mahabub MM Muntasin said, “Jashore is one of our key operational hubs. Recent tensions over unpaid salaries and internal matters have been resolved through sincere dialogue. All reasonable employee concerns were addressed, and a mutually respectful agreement has been reached.”
He acknowledged that temporary delays in salary payments occurred due to funding and operational challenges. “Pending salaries are now being processed, and employees have voluntarily returned to work. No punitive action will be taken against any employee for participating in the protest,” he added.
Head of Marketing Lusbun Uditi said the agreement also includes improvements to workplace conditions and employee benefits at Jessore warehouses. She urged the media to continue providing accurate and balanced coverage to support transparency.
When asked about the timeline for clearing pending payments and preventing future disputes, the CEO said a dedicated team is working to ensure the issue is fully resolved promptly.
