Freshers can vote in RUCSU polls

The authorities have decided to include freshers of the 2024-25 academic session in the voter list of the upcoming Rajshahi University Central Students’ Union (RUCSU) elections.

Besides, deadline for the nomination paper distribution has been extended by another day.

Prof F Nazrul Islam, chief election commissioner for the RUCSU polls, confirmed the information around 5:00pm on Tuesday, September 2.

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has been holding programmes demanding the inclusion of freshers in the voter list for the RUCSU polls. Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir also agreed to this on August 31.

The RUCSU election will take place on September 25.
