Legendary Bangladeshi singer Sabina Yasmin has made a triumphant return to music after recovering from a recent illness.

The iconic artist, known as the "Nightingale of Bangla Music," has lent her voice to a new patriotic song, marking her comeback to the studio.

The song, penned by renowned lyricist Mohammad Rafiquzzaman and composed by Shawkat Ali Emon, features a powerful duet with ten other artistes, including veteran singer Syed Abdul Hadi and National Film Award-winning artiste Atiya Anisha.

Atiya Anisha, who shared the recording studio with Sabina Yasmin, expressed her excitement on Facebook, calling it a "dream comes true."

She wrote, "Today is a memorable day in my life! I met the legendary singer Sabina Yasmin ma'am for the first time and got the rare opportunity to sing with her. Growing up listening to her magical voice, it felt surreal to sing a patriotic song alongside her. Despite her stature, she is incredibly humble and sincere, which inspired me even more. This is undoubtedly one of the best moments of my musical career."

Sabina Yasmin had been away from the music scene for over a year. Her last public performance was on January 31 at the 'Amader Sabina Yasmin: Ami Achhi Thakbo' event at a five-star hotel in Dhaka. After performing for an hour and a half, she fell ill and was rushed to a hospital in Gulshan. Following initial treatment, she returned home but was later admitted to a private hospital in Dhanmondi after her condition worsened.

Her return to music comes after a series of stage shows in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, Australia, in late 2023. Since then, she had taken a break from performing, making her comeback even more special for her fans.
