1,641 arrested in nationwide police drive in 24hrs

A total of 1,641 individuals have been arrested across the country in the last 24 hours during a special police drive.
Of them, 1,054 were arrested in connection with specific cases and warrants, while 587 were detained in separate incidents, said Enamul Haque Sagar, Assistant Inspector General (Media & PR) of the Police Headquarters, on Friday (July 18).
During the drive, police also recovered one homemade sten gun, a one-shooter gun, eight rounds of cartridges, and two LG rounds.
