2 more dengue deaths, 364 fresh cases recorded in 24 hrs

Two more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours (from Friday 8:00am to Saturday 8:00am), taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 132 this year.

The new deaths were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

During the period, 364 more patients were hospitalised with viral fever, raising the total cases to 33,831 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (September 6).

Of the new cases, 49 were reported in Barishal division (outside the city corporation), 76 in Chattogram division (outside the city corporation), 50 in Dhaka division (outside the city corporation), 58 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 73 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 38 in Khulna division (outside the city corporation), and 20 in Mymensingh division (outside the city corporation).
