The National Consensus Commission (NCC) will submit its final report to the interim government very soon.

Professor Ali Riaz, Vice-Chairman of the NCC, disclosed this on Sunday (September 5) during a meeting chaired by the commission’s Chairman and Chief Adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, at the State Guest House, Jamuna. The information was provided by Suchismita Tithi, Assistant Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser.

According to Tithi, the nearly hour-long meeting discussed the contents of the July Charter, its implementation procedures, the stance of political parties on these matters, and the commission’s position. During the meeting, Chief Adviser expressed satisfaction with the progress of the commission’s work.

Ali Riaz added that the commission has received extensive cooperation from all political parties and unprecedented support from the media. Muhammad Yunus also extended his thanks and best wishes to the commission members and instructed that he be updated promptly on the commission’s final progress.

The meeting was attended by commission members Justice Md. Emdadul Haque, Dr. Iftikharuzzaman, Dr. Badiul Alam Majumdar, Dr. Md. Ayub Mia, and Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor Monir Haidar. Advisers to the interim government, Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Asif Nazrul, and Adilur Rahman Khan, were also present.
