Pedestrian injured in crude bomb blast on New Eskaton Road
A pedestrian was injured in a crude bomb blast on New Eskaton Road in Dhaka on Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 8:40 am in front of the Wakf Building.
Abdul Basir, who works at a private company, was walking to his office in Banglamotor when the blast occurred. He sustained injuries to his legs and hands. Basir said he was walking to the office as usual when a crude bomb suddenly exploded in front of the building. He suspects the bomb may have been thrown from the flyover above.
Earlier, on Saturday, at 6:10 pm, miscreants detonated a crude bomb on Madhubagh Bridge in Hatirjheel, setting a motorcycle on fire. Later, at 8:20 pm, another crude bomb exploded in front of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Agargaon. Sherebangla Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Imaul Haque told Jago News that no casualties occurred in the blasts. According to the OC, the perpetrators arrived on a motorcycle, detonated the bomb, and fled the scene. A manhunt has been launched to apprehend the suspects.
