Ctg residents feel tremors from earthquake in Myanmar

An earthquake struck the Falam district of Chin State in Myanmar shortly before 1:00 am on Tuesday. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS) website, the quake measured 4.9 on the Richter scale and occurred at a depth of 106.8 kilometers. The tremor was also felt in several parts of Chattogram, Bangladesh.
Residents of Cox’s Bazar town, Ukhiya and Chakaria reported feeling the tremor at 12:57 am. No casualties or damage have been reported so far. However, according to locals, the shaking lasted for a few seconds.
