A piece of cloth fell on the overhead catenary system (OCS) — the electric lines — between Uttara Uttar and Uttara Dakkhin metro stations, causing a 15-minute suspension of metro rail services on Wednesday (3 November).

In a Facebook post at 12:40 pm, the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) said, “For the kind information of esteemed metro rail passengers, it is hereby informed that metro rail services were suspended from 12:22 pm to 12:37 pm to remove a piece of cloth that had fallen onto the OCS between Uttara Uttar and Uttara Dakkhin stations. Train operations have now returned to normal. The Metro Rail authorities sincerely regret the temporary inconvenience caused to passengers.”
