Man stabbed to death by sibling in Jhenaidah

A 30-year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly by his younger brother over family dispute at Betai Purbapara village of sadar upazila in Jhaniadah on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Shohel Hossain,  son of Shafiuddin, a resident of the  same village in the upazila.

Quoting  local people, Jhenaidah police station officer-in-charge Johirul Islam said that an anltercation took place between Shohel and his younger brother Jewel over money around 3:00pm.

They, at one point, stabbed each other with a knife, leaving Shohel died Jewel injured on the spot.

On informaiton, a team of police recovered the body and sent it to Jhenaidah General Hospital morgue for a post-mortem examination, the police  official said.

They were looking into the matter, the OC said, adding that legal action would be taken against those found involved in the incident.
