President and PM pay tribute to Pilkhana martyrs at Banani Graveyard in Dhaka on February 25.
President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman paid tribute to the army officials martyred in the Pilkhana carnage by placing floral wreaths on their graves at Banani Graveyard in Dhaka on Wednesday morning (February 25).
Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed and the chiefs of the three-armed forces were also present at the ceremony.
A total of 74 people, including 57 army officials, were killed in the carnage that occurred at the Pilkhana headquarters of the erstwhile Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) on February 25–26, 2009.
