BNP to kick off electoral campaign tonight

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is going to kick off its electoral campaign for the upcoming national polls tonight.

The secretary general of BNP, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, will inaugurate the polls campaign through a press conference at the BNP chairperson’s political office in the capital’s Gulshan at 8pm.

Shyrul Kabir Khan, a press wing official of BNP, told Jago News that the party’s secretary general would address a press conference at 4pm. After that, he will inaugurate the polls campaign through an audio-visual at 8pm.

Election Commission (EC) today started allocating election symbols among the final candidates of all parties for allowing them to contest the 11th parliamentary election.

As per the rules and regulations of EC, the candidates will continue their campaign till midnight on December 28, ahead of 32 hours of voting day slated for December 30.

The candidates this time can carry out their campaign for 19 days.
