Yunus must keep pledges on reform, justice, voting rights: Nahid

National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam on Friday, May 23, said Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus must keep his promises on reform, justice and voting rights given to the country's people.
"Dr Yunus must keept pledges on reform, justice and voting rights given to people and resolve all the problems politically staying in his role," Nahid said in a post on his verified Facebook account tonight.
He urged patriotic, Bangladesh-centric and religious-minded student and people to be united in support of sovereignty, reform and July mass uprising.
He also called upon patriotic army officers and soldiers to be prapared to protect the country and its sovereignty.
Alleging that since the banning of the Awami League, new conspiracies are being hatched again from Delhi to create unrest and divide the nation, Nahid said, "Attepts are underway to make arrangement of another 1/11 crisis aiming to hinder democratic transition."
The NCP leader also stressed declaring July Proclamation within the stipulated time and holding the general election by the declared timeframe.
July Charter of fundamental reform must be made and trial of July massacre should be visible before the national polls, he emphasised.
The constituent assembly election and the parliamentary polls must take place simultaneously for making a new constitution, he added.
