BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed has submitted allegations of abduction and enforced disappearance against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and six others to the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT).

The accused include former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Inspectors General of Police Benazir Ahmed and Shahidul Haque, former Special Branch (SB) Chief Monirul Islam, former Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia, and retired army officer Ziaul Ahsan.

Salahuddin handed over a copy of the complaint to the Chief Prosecutor of the ICT, Advocate Mohammad Tajul Islam, on Tuesday.

At that time, the BNP legal team present included Barrister Kaiser Kamal, Barrister M Badruddoza Badal, Barrister Md Ruhul Quddus Kajol, Barrister Nasir Uddin Ahmed Asim, Advocate Mohammad Ali, Advocate Maksud Ullah, and Advocate Shamsul Islam Mukul, among others.

On October 15 last year, Salahuddin filed a separate complaint regarding his disappearance with the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances.

He went missing from Uttara on March 10, 2015, and was later found in Shillong, India, on May 11 of the same year.

Following the fall of the Awami League government on August 5, he returned home on August 11.
