Patwary ‘still with us’; NCP dismisses resignation rumours
The National Citizens Party (NCP) has denied rumours claiming that its chief coordinator, Nasiruddin Patwary, has resigned from the party.
In a message issued around 2:00 am on Friday, NCP Joint Member Secretary (Office) Saleh Uddin Sifat said the news of Patwary’s resignation or dismissal from the party was incorrect.
“The chief coordinator, Nasiruddin Patwary, is still with us. He recently performed his duties related to the party’s registration process at the Election Commission. Besides, he continues to discharge his responsibilities as chief coordinator in various wings of the party. Therefore, reports about his resignation or dismissal are not true,” the message read.
Earlier on Thursday night, rumours had spread on social media claiming that Nasiruddin Patwary had resigned from the NCP. Shortly after the rumours surfaced, the party issued the clarification.
