Bangladesh thrash Australia by 23 runs

Bangladesh defeated Australia by 23 runs in the opener of the five-match T20I series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in the capital of Dhaka on Tuesday.

With this joy, the Tigers secured their first victory over the Aussies in T20 format.

Earlier, the hosts posted a low 131-run target before the visitors but the latter were all out for 108.

For Bangladesh, Nasum Ahmed bagged 4 Aussie wickets that earned him the Man Of The Match award.

Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam took 2 wickets each while Mehedi Hasan and Shakib Al Hasan bagged 1 each.

In Batting, the Tigers' highest 36 runs came from Shakib Al Hasan's bat and the second most from Mohammad Naim's while Afif Hasan scored 23 and Mahmudullah Riyad 20.
