Bangladesh’s U-19 women continued their impressive turnaround in the five-match T20I series, defeating Pakistan by seven wickets in the third match at the Cox’s Bazar Academy Ground on Sunday to take a 2–1 lead.

After losing the opening match, the young Tigresses bounced back strongly with wins against Afghanistan and now Pakistan. A victory in the fourth match on Wednesday would seal the series for the hosts.

Pakistan, batting first, were restricted to just 86 runs. Captain Ima Nasser looked dangerous early on with an aggressive 23 off 16 balls, but Bangladesh’s bowlers kept the innings in check. Jufishan Ayaz added 14 off 33, while late contributions from Memuna Khalid (18) and Mahnoor Zeb (12) pushed the total forward. Habiba Islam Pinki and Atashi Majumdar claimed two wickets each.

Chasing 87, Bangladesh stumbled early, losing two wickets for eight runs. But captain Sadia Islam produced a commanding counter-attacking innings to steady the chase. Her 35 off 28 balls, featuring three fours and three sixes, eased the pressure and earned her the Player of the Match award.

After Sadia’s dismissal, Jannat ensured a comfortable finish, scoring an unbeaten 30 off 35 deliveries as Bangladesh crossed the target with ease.

With momentum firmly on their side, the young Tigresses now eye the series clincher.
