Expats send remittances of $1.6b in 14 days of April
The expatriate Bangladeshis have sent remittances of around $1.6 billion, or approximately $160.70 crore, in the first 14 days of April of the current fiscal year 2025-26.
The amount is $32 crore higher than the same period in FY 2024-25, when the country received $1.28 billion or around $128.40 crore in remittances, according to updated data from Bangladesh Bank on Wednesday, April 15.
Earlier, the highest remittances of $3.75 billion or approximately $375.50 crore, came in March of the 2024-25 FY.
