Yunus and Qatar PM discuss strengthening economic ties
Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, met with Chief Adviser of Bangladesh, Professor Muhammad Yunus, on Thursday to discuss issues of mutual interest as both nations aim to bolster economic cooperation.
The meeting took place at the Prime Minister's Office in Doha.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, who is serving as Qatar’s Prime Minister since March 7, 2023, and as Minister of Foreign Affairs since January 2016, expressed a keen interest in fostering stronger ties between the two countries.
The discussions were attended by several key Bangladeshi officials, including Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain, Energy Adviser Fouzul Kabir Khan, National Security Adviser Dr Khalilur Rahman, SDGs Affairs Principal Coordinator Lamiya Morshed, and Bangladesh Ambassador to Qatar, Md Nazrul Islam.
The meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to deepen their partnership, particularly in areas of economic collaboration, as they explore new opportunities for mutual growth and development.
