Expats send $126.40cr remittance in 16 days of August

The expatriate Bangladeshis sent around $126.40 crore in remittances in the first 16 days of August, the second month of current fiscal year 2025-26.
The amount is $15.20 crore more than that of the same period of the last FY when the country received $111.20 crore remittance, according to latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Sunday, August 17.
Analysts said the remittance inflow is in positive trend due to incentives announced by the government and easier ways of remittance earnings.
