Remittances hit $208cr in 27 days of August
The expatriate Bangladeshis sent $208.70 crore in remittances in the first 27 days of August, the second month of current fiscal year 2025-26.
The amount is $11.60 crore than that of last FY2024-25 when the country received $197.10 crore, according to the latest data from the Bangladesh Bank (BB).
The report, released on Thursday, August 28, said the expatriates sent $7.73 crore on average every day.
The remittance inflow in the first two months of current FY – July and August – hit $456.50 crore, a $17.05 per cent growth compared to the same period of last FY2024-25 when the amount was $388.50 crore.
