Govt raises fuel prices by Tk 2 per litre
The government has increased the prices of all types of fuel by Tk 2 per litre at the consumer level. Under the new rates, diesel will rise from Tk 102 to Tk 104 per litre, octane from Tk 122 to Tk 124, petrol from Tk 118 to Tk 120, and kerosene from Tk 114 to Tk 116.
The revised prices were announced in a notification issued by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources on Sunday (30 November).
According to the notification, in line with the revised pricing formula and global fluctuations in fuel prices, fuel prices are now being adjusted automatically each month at the consumer level. To ensure the supply of fuel at comparatively affordable rates for December, the government has revised the prices as follows: diesel increased by Tk 2 to Tk 104 per litre, octane by Tk 2 to Tk 124, petrol by Tk 2 to Tk 120, and kerosene by Tk 2 to Tk 116. The new prices will come into effect on 1 December.
