Gold prices rise again by Tk 1,470 per bhori

Gold prices in Bangladeshi market have risen again, with the price of 22-carat gold set at Tk 217,067 per bhori (11.664 grams), according to the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS).
The price has been increased by Tk 1,470 per bhori, following a rise in the local market price of pure gold. The new rate will take effect from Tuesday, December 16, BAJUS said.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring held on Monday, December 15.
The revised prices were later announced in a notification signed by Masudur Rahman, chairman of the committee.
