2nd highest remittance of $3.04b arrive in 29 days of Dec
The expatriate Bangladeshis sent around $3.04 billion, or approximately $304.10 crore, in remittances during the first 29 days of December of the current fiscal year 2025-26, the second-highest inward remittance so far.
The amount is $52 crore more than that of the same period during the last FY 2024-25, when the country received $252.10 crore in remittances, Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan said on Tuesday, December 30.
Accordingly, around $10.49 crore remittances came home on average everyday.
The expatriates sent $1,607.90 crore from July 1 to December 29 in the current FY.
