Gold prices decline by Tk 2,741 per bhori
The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 2,741 to Tk 2,24,182 per bhori (11.664 grams).
Besides, 21-carat gold decreased by Tk 2,566 to Tk 2,14,034 a bhori, 18-carat by Tk 2,276 to Tk 1,83,416, and gold of the traditional method by Tk 1,866 to Tk 1,52,857, respectively.
The prices have been cut following a decrease in the price of pure gold in the local market, BAJUS said in a statement on Wednesday, December 31.
The new prices will take effect from Thursday, January 1.
Earlier on Monday, December 29, the price of 22-carat gold was cut to Tk 2,26,923 per bhori, hitting a new record in the country’s history.
