LPG price raised, now 12-kg cylinder Tk 1,306

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has raised the price of liquified petroleum gas (LPG) by Tk 53 to Tk 1,306 per 12 kg cylinder.
BERC announced the new price on Sunday, January 4, effective from 6:00 pm today.
Additionally, the prices of Autogas have been hiked by Tk 2.48 to Tk 59.80 from Tk 57.32.
Earlier, the Commission set the LPG price at Tk 1,253 per 12 kg cylinder for December, increasing it by Tk 38.
However, there are allegations that traders are selling LPG at a higher price than that fixed by the government, and in many areas, cylinders are not available at the increased prices.
