Remittances hit $907m in 7 days of January
The expatriate Bangladeshis sent around $907 million in remittances during the first seven days of January in the current fiscal year 2025-26, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank.
The amount is roughly $366 million more than that of the same period of last year, when the country witnessed $541 million in remittances.
Earlier in December, approximately $3.22 billion in remittances, the second-highest so far, arrived in the country.
The expatriates sent $17,172 million from July 1 to January 7 in the current FY.
