Gold prices surge, now bhori Tk 2.65 lakh
Gold prices have surged in the domestic market, with the best quality gold (22-carat) soaring by Tk 4,374 to 265,414 per bhori.
According to the new pricing, 21-carat gold will cost Tk 253,342 a bhori, 18-carat gold Tk 217,125, and traditional method gold Tk 177,701, respectively.
The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) decided to hike prices on Saturday morning, February 28, citing a rise in the prices of pure gold in the local market.
The new prices take effect from 10:30 am today, the association said in a statement.
Earlier on February 23, gold prices rose in the domestic market, with the 22-carat gold increasing by Tk 2,216 to Tk 261,040 per bhori.
