Pay workers Eid bonus by Mar 12, minister to RMG owners

Labour and Employment Minister Arifur Haque Chowdhury has instructed ready-made garment factory owners to pay workers Eid-ul-Fitr bonus by March 12 and salary arrears by seven working days.
The minister gave the instructions at a meeting on ready-made garment factories at the ministry on Tuesday, March 3.
The meeting reviewed the country's overall labour situation and discussed effective measures to resolve labour unrest in the RMG sector, as well as the payment of workers' salaries and allowances and granting leave on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
