Viva voce for 222 candidates of 44th BCS postponed

The viva voce of the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination has been postponed for 222 candidates. Many of these individuals are also due to sit for the written exam of the 46th BCS and have expressed a desire to take that exam first.
In response to their requests, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has postponed the viva voce specifically for these 222 candidates. This decision was confirmed in a notification signed by Masuma Afrin, the current officer in charge of the Cadre Branch at BPSC, on Tuesday (April 22).
According to the notification, the viva voce has been postponed for 45 candidates from both the General and Technical/Professional cadres, and 187 candidates from the General cadre. These individuals had submitted their requests via email after temporarily passing the written exam of the 44th BCS.
The BPSC stated that the new dates for the postponed viva voce exams will be announced on its official website or on the Teletalk Bangladesh Limited website (bpsc.teletalk.com.bd).
Sources said the written exam for the 46th BCS is scheduled to be held on May 8 in Dhaka and seven other divisional cities across the country. Many of the candidates for this exam are also participants in the viva voce of the 44th BCS. As a result, they had been demanding to sit for the 46th BCS written exam after completing the viva voce. Some even staged protests to press their demand.
