DUCSU polling officer relieved after giving voter 2 ballots

A polling officer of the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and hall elections was immediately relieved of his election duties after handing two ballot papers to a voter at the Amar Ekushe Hall polling centre on the second floor of Karzon Hall.

The incident was confirmed by the university’s Public Relations Office on Tuesday (September 9).

The office stated that the voter who raised the issue understood it was an unintentional mistake. Nevertheless, the administration acted promptly to address the matter.

In a press release, the university’s Public Relations Office emphasised that the administration is committed to ensuring the elections are free, fair, and impartial.
