Over 5 lakh students fail HSC exams; failure rate 41.17%

More than five lakh students failed this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations, with 41.17 percent of examinees unable to pass.
The results were released simultaneously by all education boards on Thursday (16 October) at 10:00 am. Students can check their results through their respective educational institutions, the boards’ websites, or via SMS.
According to the published results, a total of 1,235,661 students took part in this year’s HSC and equivalent exams. Of them, 726,960 students passed, resulting in an overall pass rate of 58.83 percent, while 508,701 students failed, giving a failure rate of 41.17 percent.
