JnUCSU election commission formed
A five-member election commission has been formed for the Jagannath University Central Students’ Union (JnUCSU) polls, with Professor Dr. Mostafa Hasan, Chairman of the Department of Social Work, appointed as the Chief Election Commissioner.
The announcement was made in an official order signed by the university’s acting registrar, Professor Dr. Md Giasuddin, on Wednesday (October 29).
According to the notice, the five-member election commission has been constituted, subject to the syndicate’s approval, under Section 15(1) of the Jagannath University Central Students’ Union and Hall Student Union Formation and Management Regulations 2025, to conduct the Central Students’ Union and Hall Students’ Union elections 2025.
The assistant commissioners are: Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Chairman, Department of Law; Professor Dr. Kaniz Fatema Kakoli, Department of Physics; Professor Dr. Md. Zulfikar Mahmud, Department of Computer Science and Engineering; and Dr. Md. Anisur Rahman, Associate Professor, Department of Islamic History and Culture.
