Bangladesh takes nine teams to World Robot Olympiad in Singapore
The world’s brightest young innovators are gathering in Singapore as the 22nd World Robot Olympiad (WRO) begins on November 26 will continue till November 28, and Bangladesh is set to make its mark with nine national teams competing on the global stage of robotics and technology.
Student delegations from 90 countries are participating in this year’s Olympiad – one of the largest global platforms for young minds to showcase creativity, engineering skills, and futuristic problem-solving.
A 50-member Bangladeshi contingent, including competitors, coaches, team leaders, judges, and supporters, left Dhaka on Monday (November 24) night with high hopes and months of preparation behind them.
Four categories, one dream — global excellence
Bangladesh’s nine teams will contest in four major WRO categories:
Robomission
Future Engineers
Future Innovators
Robo Sports
These teams were selected from across the country during the national round of the Bangladesh World Robot Olympiad held at United International University (UIU) on September 25, where 23 students earned their place as finalists for the world stage.
