11 Education Engineering officers promoted, reposted
Eleven officers of the Education Engineering Department (EED) under the Ministry of Education have been promoted and reassigned.
The promotions and postings were made through separate orders issued on Sunday, December 7, and Wednesday, December 10.
According to the orders, four assistant engineers have been elevated to the rank of executive engineer (current charge), while five executive engineers have been promoted to superintending engineer.
The remaining two officers have been transferred or given general postings.
Among those promoted, Md Jahedul Karim, Executive Engineer of Narsingdi, has been appointed Superintending Engineer of the Rangpur Circle. Pratibha Sarkar, Executive Engineer in Gopalganj, has also been promoted to the same rank.
Executive Engineer Fahim Iqbal has been promoted and posted as Superintending Engineer of the Barishal Division, while Shahjahan Ali has been promoted and retained at the EED head office.
Md Yusuf Ali, Executive Engineer of Mymensingh district, has been promoted and posted as Superintending Engineer of the Sylhet Circle, according to another order.
In a separate notification, Superintending Engineer Md Tarek Anwar Zahedi has been posted as Additional Chief Engineer (current and routine responsibilities of Chief Engineer).
He was previously serving in the Rangpur Circle but will now draw his salary from the Mymensingh Circle. He will also perform the duties of Chief Engineer. Additionally, Superintending Engineer Hasan Shawkat has been posted to the Dhaka Metro Circle.
Another order states that four assistant engineers have been assigned as Executive Engineers (current charge) under five conditions issued by the ministry. They are: Saheb Ali – posted to Munshiganj, Mofiqul Islam – posted to Bhola, Anupam Barua – posted to Feni, and Md Abdus Salam – posted to Netrokona.
