Primary schools to stay open in Ramadan

The government has decided to keep government primary schools open for 21 days during the month of Ramadan next year.
The Directorate of Primary Education released the list of annual holidays for government primary schools for 2026 on Tuesday, December 30, reducing the holidays by 12 days and scrapping several days' leave.
Ramadan will commence on February 17 (subject to the appearance of the Moon), while the Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr vacation will begin on March 8, 2026, meaning that the primary schools will remain open until the 21st Ramadan, according to the annual holiday list.
