The Jagannath University Teachers’ Association has urged all those involved in the Jagannath University Central Students’ Union (JnUCSU) and Hall Union elections to maintain neutrality.

“In an election, some will win and some will lose; this is the natural process of democracy. However, those involved in the voting process should not take sides,” said Rais Uddin, General Secretary of the association, at a press conference on Tuesday (6 January).

Referring to complaints raised by students, he added, “We are monitoring the issues raised and hope the administration will address them seriously and take necessary action.”

Expressing concern over the campus situation, he further said, “Crowds are being seen in various parts of the campus. We hope no unpleasant situations arise from these gatherings.”
