Dakhil exams to begin on April 21
The Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board has announced the schedule for the 2026 Dakhil examinations, which will begin on April 21 with the Qur’an Majid and Tajbid exam.
The exams will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, according to the timetable signed by Controller of Examinations Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan, issued on Monday afternoon, January 26.
The Arabic first paper exam will take place on April 23, followed by Mathematics on April 26. Exams for Arabic second paper, Bangla first paper, and Bangla Second Paper will be held on April 28, April 30, and May 3 respectively.
The English first paper and English second paper exams are scheduled for May 5 and May 7. Hadith Sharif will be held on May 10, followed by Aqaid and Fiqh on May 11.
On May 12, exams for Civics and Citizenship, Agricultural Studies (theoretical), Home Science (theoretical), Mantiq, Urdu, Persian, and Bangladesh and Global Studies will be conducted nationwide.
Exams for Islamic History and Physics (theoretical) will be held on May 13, followed by Information and Communication Technology on May 14. Chemistry (theoretical) and Tajbid-related exams will take place on May 17. The written examinations will conclude with Biology (Theoretical) on May 20 and Higher Mathematics (theoretical) on May 24.
Practical and oral examinations will be conducted between June 7 and June 14, with results to be submitted to the board by June 18.
The board instructed candidates to be seated 30 minutes before the exam starts, follow the time stated on question papers, complete MCQ sections before written sections without breaks, and collect admit cards from their institutions at least three days in advance.
