Iran’s air defenses intercepted two Israeli F-35 fighter jets allegedly violating its airspace on Friday, shooting down both aircraft and capturing one pilot after she ejected and parachuted into Iranian territory, an Iranian Army official claimed on national television.

The incident followed a series of Israeli attacks earlier in the day, which Iranian authorities said involved bombs and drones. The strikes reportedly killed dozens of civilians, along with several high-ranking military officials and nuclear scientists. Targets included residential buildings, nuclear facilities, radar installations, and military bases.

In retaliation, Iran launched ballistic missile strikes on Israeli positions in the occupied territories late Friday. Footage released by Iranian state media purportedly shows successful hits on multiple targets.
