Former coast guard DG arrested
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested former director general of Bangladesh Coast Guard Shafiq-ur-Rahman in Dhaka in connection with a corruption case.
A team of the anti-graft body arrested him from his DOHS residence at Mohakhali area in the capital early Thursday.
ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter to the reporters.
The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) says he is an accused in a case filed with Dhaka’s Cantonment Police Station in 1998.
