6 killed in truck-van collision in Mymensingh
At least six people were killed and three others injured in a head on collision between a truck and a pickup van in Mymensingh.
The incident took place on Mymensingh-Kishoreganj road at Shibpur area on Friday at 6.45.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. The injured people were admitted to Ishwarganj hospital.
Murshedul Hasan, Officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Gauripur Police Station, said, a Mymensingh bound truck hit a Kishoreganj bound pickup van, leaving one passenger of pickup van killed.
Later eight passengers were taken to hospital where five were declared dead, he added.
