Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan today said collective efforts of all stakeholders are essentially needed alongside ongoing anti-militancy drives by Police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) to effectively fight militancy.

"We need to work together to root out militancy from the country alongside with the nationwide anti-militant drives by the police and RAB," he said as the chief guest while launching an anti-militant advertisement for creating awareness among the people against the social menace at RAB media centre here.

Newly appointed Inspector General of Police Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary echoed the same and said, "Police is committed to stamping out militancy from the country. But, it will not be possible to combat the militancy only carrying out anti-militant drives."

Director General (DG) of RAB Benazir Ahmed, in his welcome speech, said, "It is necessary to carry out massive campaign to create awareness among the people against the militancy to effectively fight the menace."

"We have prepared a 60-second anti-militant advertisement to keep people away from the militancy," he added.
